Three reasons.
First, my programmers and I underestimated the technical complexity involved. There are billions of permutations involved.
Second, the stock markets are changing rapidly as computerization, 0DTE options and the rise of passive investing mean that huge swathes of stocks are moving for reasons that have nothing to do with underlying fundamentals whatsoever which makes proper long-term stock selection tremendously challenging.
And third, the technical infrastructure needed to do all this is changing at warp speed. It’s also tremendously expensive, the hidden side of cloud computing you never hear about.
All in all, it’s like playing pin the tail on the donkey blindfolded… at night… in the middle of a hurricane… when the rules are changing as the game continues.
Simply put, I’d rather have you frustrated with me for taking a long time to get it right than be angry with me for releasing something that is flawed and causes you to make mistakes with your hard-earned money.
